I really hope this helps someone else out there solve a very frustrating problem and stops you from buying a new phone when you don't need to. However, if the Samsung tablet won’t charge at all when connected to the computer, the USB cable or the computer port could be faulty. So I can now take photos again and remove and add new music to the phone again. I proceed and after completing the operation I was able to access the gallery and I could see that it didn't actually delete any photos or music that I had stored but it did fix the problem. On the next screen, it says " Erase all USB storage? You will lose all stored data" with a button "Format USB storage"Īfter hitting the button a message pops up telling me this will erase all media (photos music etc) from the phone. What I did first was to open settings\storage and then "Format USB storage" GO THROUGH THE DOWNLOADS FOLDER IF NEEDED. Storage and cache CLEAR THE DATA FROM THE FILES. So to make the phone ready for this I backed-up all the media I had on the phone. Select either Clear storage or Clear data from the drop-down menu.
I was about to give up and factory reset the phone. I had the same problems as percifield in the above post but the solution they provided did not work for me. Whenever I'm pissed off about something, I start to feel so calm and all my worries dissapear when I read these great useful and interesting replies on forums from such smart people who know so well to solve all problems. I'm sure I will solve it that way, since the easy things I've done didn't work, but I don't really know all the steps, I'm a bit cheezy at this, I can't wait for a reply so I can finally fix my phone. Now after I tried all this simple easy cheesy things, I'm waiting for a genious to reply to me that I have to open the camera and delete pictures and videos from there, or that I have to check for available memory.
